What is a spacer fabric?
Spacer fabrics are textile constructions made of two covering layers (top and bottom layers) which are held apart from each other at a specific distance by a so-called pile layer. This pile layer consists of countless pile threads which, due to their special properties, also contribute to the elasticity of the spacer fabric besides the distance held between the covering layers. Parameters such as material and thread composition allow variations in the physical properties of the textile construction.
