This helps avoid unnecessary start-ups in situations where there are other welders working on site, or other strong light sources. 3) LEVEL OF DARKNESS -It allows working in very bright (outdoor) or poorly lit (indoor) environments. The absence of the battery or its wear, will make the mask not work properly. In situations where the mask performance is poor, check the condition of the battery and, if necessary, proceed to replace it.
