StrongStep® Chlamydia trachomatis/ Neisseria gonorrhoeae Combo is a rapid lateral-flow immunoassay for the qualitative presumptive detection of Neisseria gonorrhoeae/Chlamydia trachomatis antigens in male urethral and female cervical swab. Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeaehas very close relations and patients are often infected both of the two diseases. Studies have showned that gonorrhea can activate and motivate the infection of chlamydia and experiment research shows that the existence of gonococcuscan improve the reproducing capacity of chlamydia trachomatis by 100 times. Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae genital infections cause serious and costly sequelae, such as pelvic inflammatory disease and infertility.
