The Model DSBF and Model DSBT are an bronze duplex strainers with flanged and thread ends respectively. They are for use in continuous flow applications to avoid shutting down the system for cleaning. Simply moving the handle to the right or left will divert flow to chamber under the handle, which allows for cleaning the basket not in use.
Standard diverters are bronze, but are also available in bronze or stainless steel. And different size basket perforations and meshes are available in stainless steel, monel, and brass to meet specific media requirements.
Non-Shock Working Pressure for the DSBF is 255psi at 150F for water, gas, and oil (WOG) liquids. Not for steam service.
What Are Flanged Marine Navy Duplex Strainers?
A Bronze Marine or Navy Duplex Strainer, sometimes called a twin basket strainer, is a type of filter built into a fuel, oil, or water piping system and it is used to remove large particles of dirt and debris. The bronze marine navy duplex strainer system usually consists of two separate strainer baskets housed. The system also contains a valve handle placed between the two strainer baskets to divert the flow of liquid to one strainer while the other strainer basket is being cleaned or serviced.
