Alu flashing tape is aluminium foil coated with thick butyl rubber/bituminous adhesive for weather sealing joints and seams. It is constinuted by an adhesive (bitumen with synthetic rubber) of increased thickness, laminated onto a film of Aluminum and disposable release sheet, which creates a strong bond with the protected surfaces. The adhesive forms a strong waterproof seal by the simply pressing the tape into place by hand.
