Polystyrene is a kind of thermoplastic and noncrystalline resin. It is colourless, smeless, tasteless but glossy, with light weight, cheap price, low hygroscopy, fantastic dyeing property, steady chemical property, excellent electricity insulativity, impact resistance, weather resistance, aging resistance, good transparency (88-92%). It can resist from organic acid, alkali, salt and lower alcohol, and can dissolve in esters and ketone.
