Coco Peat:

Coco peat known as coir pith, coir fiber pith, coir dust, is made from coconut husks which are byproducts Coconut Industry where they separate Nuts from husk & Fiber. Coir Waste is collected from various places and the facility washes the materials, Screened and graded into Coco Peat to be used for Agricultural, Horticultural & Industrial applications. This Coco Peat is exported in the Form of 5 kg blocks, 650 grams briquettes & Discs.By addition of water the Compressed Peat Expands and gets aerated. One Kg of Coco Peat can hold up to 15 liters of water.

Coco Peat is used a Solid Additive, Due to low level of nutrition content in the Coco Peat its is mixed with Nutrients and used as growing medium for plants. Coco Peat from India consists of Macro & micro Plant Nutrients like substantial Quantities of Potassium

Coco peat comes as a by product during extraction of Fiber and is Collected and stored where it is watered & washed to reduce the EC levels. The Washing is done periodically & the Peat is tested for the EC. Once the EC is tested for desired levels the Peat is screened for Particle size and Sand removal. The Sieving is done with respect to buyer's requirement. This allows the Peat to contain Fiber at Desired levels. The Peat is compacted into desired size blocks of 5kgs or 650 gram.
