Ginger or its scientific name, Zingiber officinale is the herbaceous plant which its rhizome is always being used in the cooking as well as in traditional remedy. Most of the time, ginger being used in order to reduce lifestyle-related health problems, especially nausea and indigestion.

The rhizome of the ginger can be consumed fresh, powdered, dried, in the form of oil and juice. 1 to 3% of the ginger's weight is composed of volatile oil - zingerone, shogoal and gingerols. Based on the research done, gingerols is able to increase the mobility of gastrointestinal tract and have the properties of antipyretic, antibacterial, sedative & analgesic. 

In addition to that, active ingredients in ginger also being able to fight infection. Several research stated that ginger is able to treat many types of nausea, especially morning sickness. Apart from that, the consumption of ginger extract also may reduce muscle pain and soreness. Moreover, its ability as anti-inflammatory properties really help to reduce the symptoms of ostheoarthritis. In some other study, ginger is proven to reduce the blood sugar and and reduce the risk of heart disease.
