Digital pocket nitrate meter & TDS meter

EcoLifePro 2 nitrate meter is a portable device designed for measuring nitrate content (rapid analysis) in fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and baby food.

The device can also be used as a salinometer (TDS-meter) to measure the concentration of insoluble inorganic impurities (the salts of different metals).

Nitrates are the nitric acid salts (NO3) contained in the soil and absorbed by the plants. Thanks to their positive influence on the crops growth, fertility and the harvest ripening speed, nitrates are widely spread in agriculture.

Once in a human body, nitrates are transformed into nitrites. Nitrites are absorbed from the intestines into the blood and cause oxygen starvation, accumulation of lactic acid in tissues, their poisoning and decomposition, as well as cancer of the gastrointestinal tract.

The device determines the concentration of nitrates in groceries (vegetables, fruits, juices, fresh meats, etc.) in a matter of seconds and allows to make sure that there is no threat to your health.

Why do you need a nitrate meter?

More and more often people become aware of the dangers of nitrates, especially in vegetables and fruits. They may cause acute poisoning and have negative health impact proven by scientists.

It is particularly important to test the nitrate content level of baby food, fruit and vegetable purees because children are extremely vulnerable to the harmful effects of nitrates.

Why do you need a TDS meter?

   Health. High TDS content results in an unpleasant taste which could be salty, bitter or metallic. It could also indicate the presence of toxic minerals.

   Filter performance. Test your water to make sure the filter system has a high rejection rate and know when to change the filter (or membrane) cartridges.

   Hardness. High TDS content indicates hard water, which causes scale buildup in pipes and valves, inhibiting efficiency.

   Aquaculture. A constant level of minerals is necessary for aquatic life. The water in an aquarium should have the same levels of TDS and pH as the fish and reef's original habitat.
