Cyperus scariosus, also known in English as cypriol and in Hindi as Nagarmotha, is a plant of the Cyperaceae family, that grows wild in the Madhya Pradesh region of India. It is highly prized in India for its roots and is used in aromatherapy, as a perfume and for many other purposes. The cypriol oil is dark brown in color and can change color to a transparent green. As it changes color, the scent also changes becoming woodier. It is blends with Bergamot, Clary Sage, Labdanum and Patchouli.

• It is used to cure diarrhea and problematic digestive problems. It is also very helpful in mucus, scanty periods and scabies.
