Aguaje is distributed throughout the Amazon, being observed as far north as the Orinoco
basin, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, on the south extends to the Brazilian Cerrado, reaching
Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais and São Paulo; in the east it is seen in the Brazilian coast
and the west valleys of the Andean foothills in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.

DEFINITION
The aguaje fruit is rich in phytoestrogens water source, vitamins and minerals that enhance internal and external health of our body skin and hair. The water source is one of the most
representative plants of the Peruvian Amazon, grows wild in the swamps of the floodplain and
the creek valleys of the offshore areas. Ecosystems dominated the plant, known locally as
"aguajales." Within the worldview of the indigenous peoples, as is the case of ethnic Yagua is
considered "the tree of life" and a symbol of immortality. The Cocama-Cocamilla calls it
"bread tree" because both the population and many species of terrestrial and aquatic wildlife
depend on fruit for food. Reaches 35 m. high, the fruit is 5-7 cm elliptical. Long and 4-5
cm. wide. It adapts to hot and humid tropical climate, soils, poorly drained, waterlogged soils.

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
The pulp represents only 12% of the total weight of the fruit, it is rich in phytoestrogens, has
high lipid content (21-31%) and essential fatty acids. It contains a high content of pro-vitamin
A (beta carotene, 30-300 mg/100 g9 in its pulp. The oil represents the highest content of
vitamin A in the world. Regulates vitamin B and C, and significant mineral content, but much
variability these nutritional content. The fleshy part of fruit is generally consumed in raw form
by the people and is a very good food due to its calorie content (283 kcal/100 g), protein (8.20
g/100g), oils (31g/100g), carbohydrates (18.70 g/100 g), minerals (calcium, phosphorus and
iron), vitamins (A, B1, B2, B5, C) and iodine.

100 capsules No. 0 hard gelatine capsules containing 400 mg. and in bulk as required by
kilos or thousands of capsules.
