-Beni Ourain rugs are made from 100% sheep’s wool, hand woven in Morocco. These beautiful rugs have a soft buttermilk tone with a simple large black lattice design on top. They are super soft to walk on and immediately add warmth to a room. The Beni Ourain have been popular in the interior design world for decades and have never been a passing trend, as they immediately create a contemporary bohemian style and highlight any design furniture. -The Beni Ouarain are a group of seventeen Berber tribes whose ancestors have been settled in the North-Eastern Middle Atlas Mountains in Morocco since the 9th century.

-Beni Ouarain tribal carpets are all handmade from undyed natural organic wool, double knotted traditionally

decorated with brown/black and geometric designs on a cream/ivory ground.

-The Beni Ouarain did not use carpets as floor covers, but rather as beds and bedding which explains the loose structure of the rugs, which adjust to the shape of the body and offer effective protection against the cold in the winter months

-Designs and styles vary from one tribe to another, each tribe has its own touch which makes every carpet unique characterized by great artistry, diversity and spontaneity!
