Botanical Name: Vanilla planifolia is the scientific name for the Vanilla climbing vine/tree. |
Origin: As per the research studies, the Vanilla planifolia is native to Central America and Mexico. |
Form: The Vanilla oil is a 'thick consistency' oil |
Scent: The Vanilla oil whiffs a rich, warm, sweet and typical 'Vanilla' aroma. |
Shade and Appearance: The Vanilla oil is Dark brown thick liquid. |
Chemical constituents: The main chemical components are Vanillin and numerous traces of other constituents such as Eugenol, Caproic acids. |
Extraction method: The Green capsules-like fruits or beans are picked and 'cured'. Then the immature Vanilla pods or beans are fermented and dried to make them fragrant Brown Vanilla beans. The Vanilla-resin materials are extracted from the 'cured' vanilla beans by the means of solvent extraction. |
Blends well with: The Vanilla oil blends particularly well with Benzoin, Bergamot, Frankincense, Jasmine, Lemon, Mandarin, Opopanax, Orange, Patchouli, Rose, Sandalwood, Vetiver and Ylang-Ylang oils. |
