Overview

 

This device reports via LED lights, the type of PoE that is on the Ethenet cable. With this keychain device, you can quickly find out what PoE method is available, the approximate voltage, and pinout and polarity. 

You can use it with passive injectors, 802.3af , 802.3at, 802.3bt with 568A, 568B or reverse PoE polarity. Mode A and Mode B PoE is supported. If you are far from the PoE switch or injector – this device will show if a port has power. 

If you insert the device at the remote end of an Ethernet cable, then go back to the data closet with the PoE switch - your PoE switch will show a pulse indicating that the detector is plugged into a port - up to 100 mtr away.
