INSTANT OATS

Australian Instant Oats are traditionally oat groats that have been de-husked and steamed, before being rolled into flat flakes under heavy rollers and stabilized by being lightly toasted. Quick Oats are the same as our Rolled and Quick Oats but they have been cut finer and rolled thinner. This makes them the quickest to cook.

Oats are a natural superfood because they are high in fibre, a wholegrain, with cholesterol re-absorption lowering properties, and they are a complex carbohydrate.

Oats contain all three layers of the edible grain, bran, endosperm, and germ. Wholegrains mean you are getting all 3 parts of the grain in the same proportions as they are naturally found. Wholegrains retain the natural vitamins and minerals than are often removed from refined grains.

Uses:

An excellent base for muesli, as an ingredient in biscuits, slices, and other baked goods, as an ingredient in egg and milk based recipes e.g. pancakes and puddings. Traditionally cooked as a breakfast porridge.
