History
This ancient bamboo tool is called Chasen, or Cha-Sen, is a Chinese-originated Japanese word (茶筅 or 茶せん).
Generally used for brewing matcha tea powder.
Pour the tea powder into a tea cup, and add hot water with a scoop. Then stir and toss the tea water till the bubble for formation with this bamboo brush utensil, to mix the tea and water perfectly.
How is it made?
Our bamboo material is collected from Yunnan thickly forested mountains. The bamboo is aged, even more than 40 years with fine toughness. And it is made by the most experienced craftsmen. According to the different bamboo thickness & the numbers of cutted stripes, this tool is devided into "60 stripes up", "70 stripes up", "80 stripes up", "100 stripes up" & "120 stripes up".
