Honeycomb ceramic filter is a fine strainer with straight hole structure, which provides a cost-efficient alternative to more effective ceramic foam filter. We can produce different size and shape of extruded ceramic filter; they have better handling properties than ceramic foam filters.
Honeycomb ceramic filter is mainly used for filtration of molten metal in metallurgy and foundry industry, to purify metal liquid and reduce non- metal impurity and gas, make the metal liquid to remain calm and reduce the swirl. Simplify the pouring system and improve the producing rate. Improve surface quality and mechanical performance of casting, reduce the rejection rate of casting, raise the life span of the casting and reduce casting cost.
Extruded honeycomb ceramic filter is widely used for grey iron, ductile iron and malleable iron, aluminum, aluminum alloy, copper, stainless steel, steel and so on. Grey iron requires cell diameters of less than or equal to 2 mm, spheroidal graphite iron requires cell diameters of 2 mm and greater.
