Activity
The most active coumarin-based second generation anticoagulant rodenticide that is known. It significantly reduces the blood coagulation capacity (factors II, VII, IX and X) by inhibiting prothrombine and blocking the reductase in the vitamin K1-epoxide cycle. Rodents die a few days after consumption of a lethal dose. Contrary to other less active anticoagulants, a lethal dose of Brodifacoum can be consumed as part of a daily intake of food, so repeated consumption over a period of days is not necessary.

Applications
Recommended for the control of rats and mice ( Microtus spp, Pitimys spp, etc.), in inhabited areas, industrial zones and agricultural and forest warehouses. It controls Apodemus agrarius, Arvicola terrestris, Microtus arvalis, Mus domesticus, Pitymis spp., Rattus norvegicus and Rattus rattus. For general use it is applied as formulated bait at 0,005%, using 5 to 20 kg per hectare.
