This door bottom sweep is surface mounted to the face of the door to seal gaps up to 1" between the door and threshold, or directly to the floor surface. 
The 1" aluminum channel is fitted with a sturdy PVC extrusion. 
The Triple Fin design conforms well to surface irregularities and is great over uneven surfaces, such as stone or carpet. This model is recommended for mainly outswing doors.
