This seems to work based on pressure from the carbonation, so when the bottle is fresh and there is not much airspace for CO2, 

there's no pressure and barely anything comes out the spout - you basically have to squeeze the bottle if you want anything to come out.

Then it takes quite a while for the bottle to re-inflate and pressurize. 

After that the drink jets out with crazy pressure, basically pure foam comes out it's so pressurized. And because it's so foamy, all the

carbonation escapes and you get a flat drink. Plus the gasket seems to leak, so once the pressure builds up fully it will continuously dribble. 

So if you like flat soft drinks and a big mess, this product is for you. Otherwise, give it a pass.
