Commercial beer brewing enzyme, Bacterial alpha-amylase
1. Where is your facility located?
93 Yangzhou Road, Jiangyan Economic Development Zone (about 230 km northwest to Shanghai), Jiangsu 225500, PR China.
2. Do you have any certificates or permits of enzyme production?
We are an ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO22000 certified Company. We have production license of foodstuff additives, Halal and Kosher certificate for our products.
3. What is your capacity?
Our capacity of enzyme is around 30,000 tons per year and being expanded.
4. What are the storage conditions of your products?
Enzymes are proteins. Our products should be stored in the original packaging, sealed and sheltered against direct sunlight. For maximum stability, our products should be stored below 25°C (77°F), preferably refrigerated at 5°C (41°F) for long-term storage.
5. How long is the shelf-life?
The normal shelf-life our products is six months if stored below 25°C(77°F) properly as recommended; longer shelf-life should be possible if refrigerated at 5°C (41°F).
6. What else should I know for safely handling your products?
Common safety precautions for handling chemical substances should be observed. Inhalation of enzyme dust or aerosols should be avoided due to enzymes may cause allergic reactions in sensitized individuals. Splashing should also be avoided. Spilled products should be flushed away with water immediately. Wear suitable protective gloves, safety glasses and nose covers. In case of contact with the skin or eyes, promptly rinse with water for at least 15 minutes. It is always recommended to refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet for further information regarding safely handling the products.
7. Do you provide small samples free of charge?
Yes, we provide standard samples free of charge provided that you could take over the courier expenses.
8. How long can you dispatch the small samples upon request?
Normally, standard samples are ready for delivery by DHL within 15 days upon request.
9. How long does it take from the date of order to shipment?
Our lead time is within 7 days. It might take one to two months for shipment depending on the location of destination.
An ideal Alpha-Amylase for brewing with the following benefits:
1.Reduces viscosity of starch;
2.Reduces processing time and cost;
3.Full utilization of raw materials and auxiliaries;
4.Desirable liquefaction and fermentation results.
Alpha-Amylase BAA-240 contains a hydrolyzing alpha-amylase made from submerged culture of Bacillus subtilis var. Through extraction and refining processes. It is a kind of endoamylase, which rapidly decreases the viscosity of the gelatinous starch solution by randomly hydrolyzing starch, glycogen and its degradation products within the alpha-1, 4 glycosidic bonds and produces soluble dextrins and oligosaccharides.
BAA-240 is applied to brewing industry such as beer, wine, soy sauce and vinegar.
EC 18.104.22.168, 1, 4-alpha-D-glucan glucanohydrolase
3, 000 U/ml (minimum)
Light to dark brown liquid
5.5 to 7.0
1.15 to 1.25 g/ml
Effect of pH
Optimum pH is 6.0 to 6.5, stable pH ranges 6.0 to 7.0, inactivated dramatically with pH below 5.0.
Effect of Temperature
Optimum temperature range of BAA-240 is 60 to 90° C. At a temperature range of 70 to 90° C, the reaction speeds up when the temperature rises while the enzyme inactivation also speeds up.
Effect of Calcium
Calcium ion plays a protective role for the stability of enzyme activity. The enzyme activity may disappear completely without the presence of calcium ion. The pH range of enzyme activity is broadened with the presence of calcium and narrowed without it.
