1. Product description:
The product is a kind of polymer modified asphalt materials, using polyester carpet or glass mat for the matrix, the surface covered with polyethylene film, aluminum foil or fine sand, the base covered with a release sheet,keep the self-adhesive flexible waterproof. The product has a good self-adhesive and bending properties.
2. Application:
Construction is simple, clean, and can be widely used in roofing, basement, bathroom, etc. waterproofing works, and for legislation to pave and stick and pipe wall (except heat pipes), bridges , and other complex environment, especially in open flame is prohibited, covert fire waterproofing works.
Cut flashing to the required length, remove the release film and press down the adhesive bitumen to the previously prepared surface.
Ensure full contact by smoothing down with a cloth, taking care to eliminate air bubbles.
Final rolling down of the edges with a wallpaper roller will ensure a good edge seal.
All overlaps should be a minimum of 25mm and well rolled down.
Note: In cold weather adhesion will be imporved by storing the roll in a warm room for 12 hours or more before use, or by gently warming the strip during application.Do not apply below 5 ℃.

HUIYUAN Flashing tape can be overpainted with conventional decorative paints, though a little staining many occur at the edges.

Some brief guidelines for Huiyuan bitumen tape...
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and dust-free. Remove any loose particles and any rust with a wire brush & soft broom.
The use of gloves is recommended.
Rough, porous or friable surfaces (such as wood, cement boards, course brickwork, breeze blocks etc..) should be primed with a bituminous primer and allowed to dry in order to improve bonding strength. (we sell primer in 1ltr 2.5ltr and 5litre tins)
Roll out the flashing strip then cut to the required measured length
Remove the backing paper (peel back 150mm) and place the adhesive side to the previously prepared surface
To ensure a tight contact - smooth the tape down with a dry cloth, removing all the air bubbles
Press the tape to the surface firmly once in position
Repeat the steps 2-4 in 300mm to 600mm sections until the area is covered
If the tape is joined ensure all overlaps are greater than 25mm
Smooth flat all edges with a wallpaper roller or trowel
After use reseal pack and store upright in cool, dry condition
