1. TiNi shaped memory alloy is selected to make the supports. Compared with supports those are made of stainless steel, silicon gel and other materials, supports made of TiNi shaped memory alloy enjoy the following distinctive advantages:

(1) Temperature memory effect and ultra-elasticity: “Ai Mu” MCu IUD is capable of keeping the designed shape within the range of human body temperature, i.e., ultra-elasticity and deformation resistance;

(2) Corrosion resistance: In terms of corrosion resistance, TiNi shaped memory alloy is far superior to stainless steel and silicon gel. Experiments indicate that in Henx physiological solution, the corrosion rate of TiNi shaped memory alloy is <1×10^-4mm²/year;

(3) Fatigue resistance; TiNi shaped memory alloy enjoys fatigue resistance. After shape-changed placement and sterilization in the small duct and consequent insertion into the uterine cavity before the expiry date, “Ai Mu” MCu IUD will assume and maintain its original designed shape;

(4) Good tissue compatibility.

2. Designed according to the form of the uterine cavity and mechanical principle, their two arms have given field angles and assume completely open V shape. Due to subtle elasticity, the supports can expand and contract as the womb does, which effectively addresses the problems of downward movement and expulsion.

3. For copper grains on the end of two arms are inserted to high place of “pass”, which closes to two uterine horns, a zone with high density of copper ions is formed in this area and copper ions’ contraceptive function is fully exerted.

4. With a small copper surface area of 120 mm² and a smooth surface, this IUD has little stimulation to the endometrium and slight side effects such as bleeding and pain.

5. Being without tail filament, the possibility of retrograde infection is extinguished and discomfort is eliminated.
