Ceramic foam filters are made from high quality ceramic materials, whose main components are SiC, Al2O3, ZrO2 etc. With good properties and stable quality, ceramic foam filter are used in various working conditions in casting system.
Ceramic foam filters can effectively eliminate inclusions, reduces the content of gas and poisonous element in the metal liquid, eliminate turbulence in the metal stream, smoothes out metal flow, avoiding sprays, splatter and backset, make the molten metal becomes clean, manufacturing high quality castings.
Ceramic foam filters are applied for filtering molten metal also applied for high temperature gas treatment, catalyst carrier substrate, and solid heat exchange and advanced filling for chemical industry.
We can according to client's requirements to produce a variety of materials, size, shape and pore size of the ceramic foam filter.
1. Decontaminate the melting metal liquid.
2. Simplified gating system.
3. Improve the metallurgical structure of the castings.
4. Reduce impurities of the castings.
5. Improve casting quality rate.
6. Reduce casting internal re-oxidation defects.
7. Reduce the surface defects after machining of the castings.
We can offer various materials of ceramic foam filter, such as alumina foam ceramic filter, silicon carbide foam ceramic filter, zirconia foam ceramic filter and magnesia foam ceramic filter.
Alumina Foam Ceramic Filter
Apply to purge and filter solution of aluminium alloy and other nonferrous alloy.
Silicon Carbide Foam Ceramic Filter
Apply to purge and filter solution of nodular castiron, malleable castiron and other iron casting.
Zirconia Foam Ceramic Filter
Apply to purge and filter solution of steel high temperature metal such as steel alloy stainless steel etc.
Magnesia Foam Ceramic Filter
Due to magnesium alloy is vivider than other nonferrous metal, magnesium alloy solution can filter easily react with the main material of foam ceramic filter, such as SiO, Al2O3 and liquate rapidly ceramic filter. So that magnesia or other oxide ceramics adopted to filter magnesium alloy.
