 Alkyl Ketene Dimer

Alkyl Ketene Dimer, AKD Wax, (according to the C18 content, it can be named AKD1840, AKD1865, AKD1895), it is well used as paper sizing agent.

1. Specification and index:

purity: 90z%min(top grade), 85%(normal grade).

melting point: 44.5-50 °C

lodine value(g12/100g): 43-47

acid value(mgKOH/g): 2-5

appearance: light yellow flakes or tablets

2. Usage

The product consists of a higher fatty acid (C≥12) by acylation, and dehydrochlorination made AKD, this product as AKD, neutral sizing agent of the original powder used in the manufacture of pulp neutral sizing agent emulsion.
