It can be used for both wet granulation and direct compression. Besides as adhesive and diluent, Microcrystalline cellulose has the properties of certain lubrication and disintegrative.

In food & cosmetic: Microcrystalline cellulose can also be used in cosmetics and food for the purpose of anticaking, absorbent, filling agent, texturizing agent and fat replacer.
