| Liquid resistance soft starter is used for power ratings up to 20MW and voltage up to 10KV squirrel cage induction motor. | ||||
| Working principle | ||||
| This liquid resistance soft starter is used with the squirrel cage induction motor's stator windings. During the start-up period, the current passes through them and casuses a voltage drop, which allows a reduced voltage to the motor's stator windings. The current through the electrolyte causes it's temperature to rise and resistance to drop, and thus reduces the voltage drop. Gradually the voltage applied to the stator windings builds up until it almost reaches the rated voltage. At this stage the residual electrolyte can be totally cut off from the circuit with the help of a shorting contactor. | ||||

| 4. Installation site: Vertical inclination shall be no more than 5 degree. No fire hazard, explosion risk, conductive dust, corrosive gas and strong vibration exist. | ||||
