Description
HS-200 is a thermostable AlphaAmylase produced by a modified strain of Bacillus licheniformis. It is an endoamylase that hydrolyzes alpha-1, 4-glucosidic bonds to quickly reduce the viscosity of gelatinized starch, producing soluble dextrins and oligosaccharides. 
 
Application
HS-200 has excellent heat resistance, fits to desizing of textile fabrics such as cotton, silk, polyvinyl alcohol, rayon fiber, synthetic blended and yarn-dyed poplin. 
 
Product Characteristics

 
Effect of pH 
HS-200 is active over a wide pH range, depending on the application conditions. The optimal pH is 6.0~7.5. The stable pH range is 5.0~10.0 at 25° C(77° F). 
 
Effect of Temperature
Optimum temperature of Boli HS-200 ranges from 85 to 110º C. 
 
Concentration Calcium 
HS-200 requires a very low calcium concentration. Addition of 50 to 70 ppm (DSB) of calcium is sufficient to ensure enzyme stability. 
 
Inhibitors
Copper,titanium, and cobalt ions are moderate inhibitors for HS-200 whereas aluminum, lead and zinc ions act as strong inhibitors.

Liquid alpha amylase is often packed in 25kg plastic drums.
