Calcined Petroleum Coke
Product characteristics and application scope: high content of fixed carbon, low sulfur content, stable carburetion effect and high absorptivity of carbon, best degree of graphitization, improve the nucleation of melted iron, it is mainly applied to the carburetion of various electrode smelting cast steel and iron casting.

User : Calcined Petroleum Coke comes from delayed coke which extracted from oil refinery. Although Calcined Petroleum Coke contains a little bit higher level of sulfur and nitrogen than pitch coke, the price advantage still makes it widely used during steel-making and founding as a kind of carbon additive/carburant.
Recommended method of application:
A. adjust carbon content while blending, add it into the place below the middle part of the electric furnace along with metal furnace charge when melting down liquid steel(iron) in accordance with the requirement of carbon content, absorptivity of carbon could reach 90%-95%, during strong carburant residue shall not appear, otherwise it is easy to be wrapped in the non-waste residue and influence the absorption of carbon thereby.
