ER 4043(Al-Si5) is one of the oldest and most widely used welding and brazing alloys. It can be classified as a general purpose type filler alloy. It is widely used in welding of 6061, 6XXX series aluminum alloy, 3XXX series and 2XXX series aluminum and alloys.
