the ready board shall be ready wired with a DIN mounted earth leakage device 1X63A ,30mA for prepaid meter installations(SABA 767 and SABS 0142:1987 clause 4.4.4)
Socket outlets and circuit breakers
the SPDU shall be fitted with 3x16A two pin switched socket outlets and complying with the requirements of SABS 64 .these shallbe protected by one 20A,250V single phase MCB,with a standard trip curve for the socket outlets and the light
Live and neutral/earth bars
the SPDU shall be fitted with a two-way live bar and three-way neutral/earth bar. this neutral/earth shall allow an external earth connection to be terminated.the contractor shall be responsible for earthing of the service connection .stranded bare copper conductor 6mm2 shall be used as general purpose material for earthing to the electrode (see clause 4.9.2)
the SPDU shall be issued with a COC signed by an accredited person from the factory.the contractor shall,however, test and certify polarity and earth leakage operation
