Microchip Scanner for Veterinary & Animal Re-unification Services

The RT 100 is a convenient hand-held RFID tag scanner for low frequency (125kHz) tags, including the FDX-B tags, widely used for tagging dogs and cats and agricultural animals. It is popular with veterinarians and animal charities as a way of checking microchipping implants. It works with the current UK dog microchipping tags which will become compulsory under forthcoming legislation.
It is compact but has excellent performance with a scanning distance of 5 to 8cm depending on the microchip tag in use and its orientation towards the scanner.

RT100 can show tag identities on its 2 line display and can store up to 1000 microchip tag identities for later transmission to a host system to update animal records, for example. Connection is possible over either USB or Bluetooth connection.
