Description:
1.Sowing: under a proper temperatureand sunshine; can be sowed at any time of a year; takes only 50 to 60 days from sowing to blossoming in spring and summer, a little longer in autumn (60-80 days), without any dormant period.
2.Seed treatment: break a little mouth on the sunken end of the seed; carefully not to hurt the embryo, do not peel; (you may find the method in the follow).
3.Seed germination: in summer, seeds should be good to be submerged in water; Be kept inside and changed the water twice a day; It can germinate within 1 week; After that, Put it towards the sun, strengthen light but never let it dry; It will outgrow fine-root and 2 to 3 young small lotus leaf after two weeks.
4.Transplanting: choose a proper basin, put in a half basin of garden soil or soil without any chemical pollution, immerse the soil whit water but no fertilizer 2 weeks before you transplant the plant; carefully transplant the seedlings into the soil, each one basin, proper of water after transplanting(not over the lotus leaves).
5.Autumn and winter management: 2-3 weeks after transplanting, fertilize the plants properly, better to keep it above.
Growing Guide:
1. When receive the seeds, you can cut the mentioned end, and soak them in water; or soak 2 days, and then you can more easier to cut the end, and then soak in water for germination.
2. The water should change each day at lease 1 time before sprouting; and after sprouting, you can change the water every 2-3 days.
3. The germination water temperature should keep above 16℃ constantly, and keep at lease 5-6 hours sunlight shine a day.
4. Water can use the family tap water, but can only use it after 24 hours' standing' to be the clearer water.
5. Normally, the seeds can be germinated within 7-10 days. and can be flowering about 3 months after sprouting.
6. The cultivation pot should without any holes. After sprouting, you need soak a pot of mud (ready for use, and need soak several days).
7. When the lotus stem grow to 10cm long, you need grow it combining with 3-5cm thickness sludge, (press the root end to the sludge).
8. Combining with the liquid fertilizer or fast rooting powder will grow better.
