HENGKO sintered metal filter shell for large air permeability, fast gas humidity flow and exchange rate.
The shell is is waterproof and will keep water from seeping into the body of the sensor and damaging it, but allows air to pass through so that it can measure the humidity (moisture) of the environment. It has been widely used in HVAC, consumer goods, weather stations, test & measurement, automation, medical, humidifiers, especially perform well in an extreme environment like acid, alkali, corrosion, high temperature and pressure.
The unique internal cavity design of the temperature and humidity sensor shield and the dead volume between the sensors can be ignored; therefore, its impact on the response time of humidity measurement is minimized, and it can prevent water, dust, soot, particulate matter and Other pollutants affect the performance of the sensor.

The sensor includes a temperature/humidity sensor module in a sinter powder metal encasing. The casing is waterproof and will keep water from seeping into the body of the sensor and damaging it, but allows air to pass through so that it can measure the humidity (moisture) of the soil. It is designed to be submersible in water, but it's always best to avoid long-term (over 1 hour at a time) submersion, if you need something that can be submerged for over an hour you may want to find a different sensor.
