Brief introduction
Linear bearing is a low-cost linear motion system used with the cylindrical shaft for unlimited travel. The working load of such bearings is small due to the point contact of the ball and the shaft. The balls can rotate with minimal frictional resistance, thus obtaining high-precision smooth movement.
Features
Linear bearing is often used with quenching line transmission shaft, a system for rectilinear movement. It has lower loading capacity due to the point contact between the load-carrying balls and quenching transmission shaft, and characterized by smallest friction, high precision and fast moving speed in case of rectilinear movement.
Types
1.Standard type, clearance adjustale type, open type, extended type and general type linear bearings.
2.Flanged linear bearings can be divided into: round flange type, square flange type, oval flange type, oriented round flange type, oriented square flange type, oriented oval flange type and extended round flange type.

THK linear bearings are the most common type of bearings . The prefix "LM" denotes that the bearing is intended for linear motion, distinguishing it from rotation ball bearings. The number refers to the diameter of the shaft that the bearing will fit on. The suffix letter appears to refer to the design of the bearing. L, V and U appear to refer to types of bearing seals (V indicates a non-contact seal, and U indicates a contact seal), whereas Z indicates that the bearing has been shielded instead of sealed. 5. What is the difference between using a shield or a seal as a ball bearing closure?
Shields or seals are often installed to retain lubricant and to prevent contamination from entering the bearing. While a shield contacts the outer ring and does not come in contact with the inner ring, the seal generally comes in contact with both the inner and outer rings. Torque or drag is lower with a shield than with a seal. Alternately, the seal provides a higher degree of protection from contamination. Shields and seals are available in a variety of materials and configurations.
