1. How does retinol serum work?
Once retinol has been applied to the skin, enzymes in the skin break it down into all-trans retinoic acid, which then goes on to help regulate skin-cell function. For example, this "teamwork" between retinol and damaged skin cells can help regulate inflammation and the shedding of dead cells, resulting in fewer breakouts.
2. Are the Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid serums compatible with Retinol serum?
Our serums are a great combination of Retinol serum or retinol moisturizers. These products heavily exfoliate the skin and prepare the groundwork for these serums to take full effect. If using Retin-A you should apply your serum first, then the Retin-A, then your moisturizer. When using a moisturizer with retinol, apply the serum first, then your retinol moisturizer afterward.
3. If the products are drying my skin, should I stop using them?
You should most definitely continue using the products, as, the ingredients are scientific and proven to be essential to everyone who has skin. If they are drying your skin, try using less, use only once a day, or use with a moisturizer.
4. When can I expect to see changes in my skin?
You should feel a difference in the texture of your skin immediately. You will see a great deal of improvement in dullness or unevenness of your skin, the morning after applying. Repair of damaged skin, i.e. lines & wrinkles, acne, scars, stretch marks, and pigmentation will take longer to see the results. Your body takes 27 days to regenerate collagen & elastin as well as generate new clear skin to replace damaged skin. 6 months of daily use will show optimum results.
5. Do you use any harsh chemicals in your products?
Raw Biology products do not contain parabens, alcohol, or sulfates. No harsh chemicals or dyes are used. Each product contains natural ingredients that only enhance your skin, not poison it.
