Designation: 

Rubber elastomeric joints, is also called rubber expansion joint. It is a device relative movement between two parts of a structure. It is made mainly of natural / neoprene rubber and use steel plate as skeleton for reinforcement.

It is designed and manufactured using the principle of low shear modulus of rubber. It can accommodate expansion displacement by shear deformation of rubber. It featured by low lateral resistance of expansion and compression. And it benefit to bridge structure.

Type:

It can be classified to common type and cold resistant type.

the common type is made from neoprene rubber, and it's suitable for working temperature of -25 degree to +80 degree

the cold resistant type is made from natural rubber, and it's suitable for working temperature of -45 degree to +80 degree
