Beijing Glass Research Institute founded in 1960s, we are the state owned institute pioneered in optical materials.

 

Over 53 years, we have been growing accompanied by contributing to domestic and international projects in diverse areas of science and industry. Continued focus on innovation won us more than 140 awards.

 

 

 

Since 1966, our institute makes out the first optical fiber in China. Now we have the certification and permission on various national military or weapon projects.

 

 

 

From the 1st January 2013, our higher authoritiesreorganized the advantage resources and established the Scitlion Technology, all the staffs and businesses in Beijing Glass Research Institute are transferred into this new company. New company acts as the brother company of the Institute.

 

 

 

Now our company has 5 business units, they are Crystal, which include optic crystal and scintillation crystal growth and processing;

 

the special fiber, which includes various silica fiber applied in UV , visible ,infrared range and polarization maintaining optical fiber,

 

the optical processing, like the Windows, Mirrors, Lenses, Prisms, Filters;

 

the special glass, mainly the sealing glass and lubricant glass;

 

the temperature components, such as Beckman thermometer, industrial thermistors.
