   Microblading (3D semi-permanent eyebrows) is a relatively new, manual method. It is also known as feathering or embroidery brows. This technique does not use a Permanent Makeup Machine but is done using a very fine blade called a microblade pen. The blade allows the technician to replicate or simulate the hair in the area of the brow so that the hair is unique and the look is natural.

    It deposits pigments into the basal membrane which divides the epidermis from the dermis layer of the skin, thus allowing strokes to appear crisp and very fine, and exactly mimicing the look of brow hair. In addition, there is little or no “blurring” of the pigment under the skin, creating the most natural technique on the market.  

     Microblading is considered to be semi-permanent as opposed to permanent because of the superficial placement of the pigment. It can last anywhere between 1-3 years depending on skin type, lifestyle, body chemistry, and the care and treatment of the area, but generally, the colour needs to be refreshed annually.
