Introduction:

Pearlescent pigments are composed of synthetic mica platelets or artificial glass substrates and consecutive semitransparent layers of metal oxides.  They deliver superior whiteness, brilliance and coverage with extraordinary optical effects ranging from a fine-grained luster to a bold silvery white sparkle.

Kolortek's pearlescent pigments are made of tiny transparent mica particles micro-encapsulated
in titanium dioxide. They provide a solid color over black, and an iridescent reflection or
pearlescent hue, over other colors.

Using our pearlescent pigments in your car paint, you can achieve brilliant graphics and iridescent color-changing effects. Do this on both light and dark base coats! Also used in any clear paint, gelcoat, and powder coat.
