Introduction:

  Clarifying agent DMDBS is the third generation methylene diphenyl sorbierite clarifying agent. It combines the features of the first and second generation  methylene diphenyl sorbierite clarifying agent. It can not only maintain favorable nucleation efficiency and excellent antireflection, modification effect of polypropylene resin endowed by the second generation clarifying agent, but also reduce the odor at maximum limit, enhances the thermal stability.

  It is equal to MILLAD 3988 from Milliken USA.

Application:

  DMDBS promotes the resin to crystallize by providing crystal nucleus and makes the structure of the crystal grain fine, thus improving the products’ rigidity, heat distortion temperature, dimension stability, transparency and luster. In addition, DMDBS can shorten the molding cycle of products, expand the processing conditions and strengthen the smoothness. Compared with the first generation clarifying agent DBS and the second generation MDBS, DMDBS has superior biological applicability, as it is non-toxic and tasteless and will not produce undesirable smell when processing. It is especially applicable to resin of top-grade polypropylene products, such as medical supplies and food packaging. And it is more suitable for food packaging materials than the second generation.

  DMDBS is mainly applicable to homopolymerization and railess copolymerization polypropylene products as well as LLDPE film, especially to top-grade polypropylene transparent products such as medical supplies, stationery, beverage packaging, transparent cups, bowls, basins, plates, CD boxes, food packaging, also fits for the high-temperature sterilization products and widely used in PP sheet and transparent PP tubes. 

  It can not only directly mix, inject mold or extrude molding with resins, but also mix and made transparent agglomerate (2.5-5%) with other addictives first, and then mix and use with common polyolepine. The addiction level of DMDBS in polypropylene is 0.1-0.3%. Add DMDBS to PP powder lot, mix them, and then conduct processing. Add small amount of white oil to PP powder lot, mix uniformly and then disperse DMDBS on them, and intensively agitate. DMDBS can also been used together with other plastic additives.
