Ethylene Bis Stearamide, also known as Ethylene Distearic Amide and EBS, is a kind of white high-melting-point synthetic wax which is very hard and brittle, generally its industrial product is tiny yellowish particles, non-toxic, no side effects on human body, it is insoluble in most solvents at room temperature, stable in acid-base or aqueous media, soluble in hot chlorinated hydrocarbons and aromatic hydrocarbons solvents. the powder is very satiny, with water-wettability when the temperature above 80 degrees Centigrade.

As Lubricant for thermoplastic and thermosetting plastics, it is often used in the process of molding polishing and injection molding, with good lubricity for both internal and external,mould-releasing and surface finish;
In the process of calendering,extrusion and blow molding,it can accelerate melting,reduce melting viscosity,save the processing energy consumption,increase products' toughness,prolong the die's working life,and give the product good appearance.
it is mainly used in PVC,PE,PP,PS and ABS resin, also applicable to phenolic and amino plastics. in the plastic and rubber industry, it can be used as release agent,antisticking agent,antistatic agent and surface treatment agent.
Furthermore,it works as pigment dispersant in plastic masterbatch products, as melting-point rising agent in edible oil products, as lubricant and anticorrosive in the process of metal wire drawing,as encapsulating materials of electrical components,as defoamer or composition of paper coating in the paper industry.
EBS is U.S. FDA-approved for use in plastic products which contact with instruments.
