Liquid nitrogen tank Cryomatrix series provide the user with a fully automatic, safe and reliable cryogenic liquid nitrogen storage system. All tanks are made of high quality stainless steel, equipped with automatic caster wheel, brake device, convenient open hinged lid, and large diameter openings for sample storage. The sample can be stored in liquid phase (-196℃) or vapor phase (-190℃). Microcomputer touch control system provides greater convenience and security. In order to achieve the most economical operation, we design the biggest sample storage capacity under the condition of the minimum consumption of liquid nitrogen. 

Monitoring management system for liquid nitrogen biological container of cord blood stem cell bank is a system integration product that was studied and developed for five years by our company. By drawing advanced management experience of cord blood stem cell bank at home and abroad, our company uses creatively advanced data collection technology, communication technology, automatic control technology, and embedded software technology.

The system is mainly made up of remote terminal unit (RTU) of intelligent monitoring of biological container and data service center (DSC). Intelligent monitoring terminal unit has the following functions: real-time collection of temperature of low and high position, real-time monitoring of liquid height, calculation of liquid nitrogen loss, automatic switch of liquid inlet electromagnetic valve according to liquid level and temperature, internal local area network is used to connect tank body computer with server of monitoring center, DTU sends warning message to the cell phone of watch keeper including low-and-high-position overheating warning and sensor failure warning, powerful MIS management system for objects in cryopreservation, and so on.

Data monitoring center analyzes and stores data provided by RTU and these data are investigated by management staff. Monitoring terminal unit can check conveniently the state of every network monitoring terminal by connection of local area network and monitoring center on a computer in the monitoring center without reaching any biological storage container. Monitoring center computer is also in charge of storing and managing all objects stored or to be stored in the liquid nitrogen tank. Monitoring center software is mainly made up of eight major modules including operation model selection, data monitoring, alarming, and object information management.

Benefits of Biobanking

Samples retrieved from biobanking have been vital to many research efforts, especially in the field of cancer diagnosis. Carolyn Compton, director of the Office of Biorepositories and Biospecimen Research (OBBR) at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Bethesda, Maryland, told Nature Magazine that her department located some important tissue sources for The Cancer Genome Atlas through biobanking. The call for samples also led to the revelation of how many facilities did not adequately track their frozen samples.

Many biological samples, including those containing DNA, are stored at -80°C (-112°F). These freezers require special features in order to maintain such low temperatures. An advanced, ultra-low temperature freezer, such as the Nor-Lake NSSUF191WWW-0, can maintain temperatures as low as -86°C (-123°F). The digital temperature control microprocessor allows users to adjust temperatures by as little as 0.1°C (0.05°F), while the dual alarm system alerts both on-site staffers with an audible alarm and off-site workers with a remote notification.
