Avian Infectious Bursal Disease IBD Ag rapid test

Introduction

Infectious bursal disease, also known as Gumboro disease, is caused by the infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV), an infectious disease mainly characterized by violation of chicken infectious bursal disease.
The Rapid Infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) antigen test card is based on fast immuno-chromatography technique to detect IBDV Ag in Chicken bursa or cloacal swabs. After adding sample, the sample move along with the colloidal gold labeling IBDV antibody, is there is IBDV antigen in the sample, it combines with antibody on T line and show wine-red color; if there is no IBDV antigen, then no color reaction.

Procedure

 1) Collect sample from Chicken Bursa (Recommended)
(1)Use swab to collect sample from Chicken Bursa.
A. Dissect the chicken ready to test, find Bursa near rectum;
B. Use scissors to cut bursa from its middle;
C. Use swab to wipe and rotate the cutted bursa's inner wall repeatedly;
D. Insert the swab into the tube with sample buffer immediately, rotate the swab strongly on tube wall for at least 10 times and mix the solution evenly, making the sample been dissloved in sample buffer fully. Press the swab on tube well above the liquid level, making the liquid been pressed out fully, discard swab.
E. Take out test card from sealed bag. Put it on flat surface, use dropper to draw upper-layer bright liquid, drop 4 drops slowly, one by one, to the sample hole with "S" mark.
F. Put the test card at room temperature for 15-20min, read the result, the result is invalid after 20 minutes.

2) Homogenize Bursal tissue
A. Dissect the chicken ready to test, find Bursa near rectum;
B. Cut one piece Bursa tissue ( about 5);
C. Use suitable tool to homogenize bursa tissue and sample buffer together;
D. Be static for 1~2min, make the large particles to settle.
E. Take out test card from sealed bag. Put it on flat surface, use dropper to draw upper-layer bright liquid, drop 4 drops slowly, one by one, to the sample hole with "S" mark.
F. Put the test card at room temperature for 15-20min, read the result, the result is invalid after 20 minutes.

3)Collect sample from Cloaca
A.Insert swab into Cloaca, then wipe and rotate on inner wall repeatedly;
B. Insert the swab into the tube with sample buffer immediately, rotate the swab strongly on tube wall for at least 10 times and mix the solution evenly, making the sample been dissloved in sample buffer fully. Press the swab on tube well above the liquid level, making the liquid been pressed out fully, discard swab.
C. If the stool particles is bigger, be static for 1-2min,make the large particles to settle.
D. Take out test card from sealed bag. Put it on flat surface, use dropper to draw upper-layer bright liquid, drop 4 drops slowly, one by one, to the sample hole with "S" mark.
F. Put the test card at room temperature for 15-20min, read the result, the result is invalid after 20 minutes.
