  This deep cell tray would be great for starting tomatoes or other plants that like a deep root system. 

   

 

Add seed starter mix. (Can find at local Garden Center) You put a seed or two in each cell. After the plants fill in the cells with roots, you can transplant the plants to large pots with out disturbing there roots or breaking the roots apart like you do with the old seed starting flats. You just pull out one plant and all of that plants roots come with it.
