Product Description

Deep knowledge in shock wave transmission and percussion mechanism theory have allowed Montabert engineers to be the first to develop new concepts such as hydraulic dampening and progressive blow energy. This results in an effective, less energy-intensive hydraulic drifter for all.

Progressive Blow Energy

The unique design of the piston generates a perfect, long shock wave of a trapezoidal shape:
better transmission of energy at the couplings
minimum stress into the drilling rods
better bit penetration

Hydraulic Dampening System

This technology is the reason why Montabert’s hydraulic drifters have a long operational lifespan. The action of the dampening piston, not only absorbs the lost part of reflected energy but ensure a constant, thrust onto the tools:
