Cold storage requirements for onions
Temperature: The most suitable temperature is 0-5 degrees Celsius
Humidity: 65% ~ 70% (may need to add a dehumidifier)
Before storage: The temperature of the freshly picked onions is relatively high, and the humidity is relatively high. It needs to be dried and then stored.
During storage: It needs to be turned over in two or three days during storage, and can not be piled up for storage. The longest storage time is 3 ~ 8 months.

When the onion head is about to germinate through dormancy, it enters a low-temperature environment, and the onion continues to dormant to prolong the storage period. The method is to store the cold storage in boxes (baskets) before the onions leave natural dormancy in late August. Pre-cool the selected onions before entering the warehouse. When the temperature of the onion is close to the storage temperature, store it in the cold storage. The temperature of the warehouse is controlled at 0-3 ℃. The temperature fluctuation should be as small as possible.
