GK DRY GRANULATOR
The dry granulation is a process to make granules without using any liquid solution as the materials being granulated are sensitive to moisture and heat. Without the liquid content, the particulate materials can be aggregated when compressed at high pressure because of the bonding forces developed by direct contact between the solid surfaces.
Tablet pressing is a type of dry granulation conducted by using a slugging tool or roller compactor. This technique is externally influenced by primary materials properties such as powder cohesiveness, density, flow ability, compressibility and particle size distribution.
If the powder does not possess enough natural flow to be fed uniformly into a die, the degrees of the densification will be varied within the product. In addition to the tablet press, powder can be delivered consistently using an auger-feed system between two pressure rolls. The powder will be compacted into ribbons or pellets between these pressured rolls which rotate in opposite direction. Moreover, screening of a large amount of fines is common to roller compaction depending on the nature of primary materials.
Clean type: Feeding, tabletting and granulating systems are external overhang structure. Either vertical or horizontal feeding system is available.Optional: a vibration feeder, a sifter or a dust collector.

1.Raw Material
The raw material is dry powder, which can be made into granules.In general, a major advantage of dry granulation over wet granulation is the absence of water or any organic solvents. Therefore, this methodology is especially attractive for drugs, which are moisture or heat sensitive.
2.Input Hole
Add raw material in this part. Some raw material have the characteristic of low specific gravity and bad flow ability. By using the dry granulation process, it will improve the above characteristics and result in a bigger bulk density, higher specific gravity and good flow ability of granules.
3.Feeding Screw
The screw performance exerts a significant influence upon the granulating capability of the roll compactor, which have materials intruded between the rolls to facilitate de-gassing.
4.Feeding Hopper
This unit conveys the powder to the compaction area between the rolls. Such as Pharmaceutical: Chinese Medicine, Western Drug, Antibiotic Chemical, Agriculture Product, and Food.
5.Roller Compaction
The rollers are made of stainless steel and are equipped with teeth to produce a powerful grinding action by forcing the material against a series of breaking combs.
6.Sheet or Flake
The powder will be compacted into ribbons or pellets between these pressured rolls which rotate in opposite direction.
7.Size Reduction
This results in sheets of compressed material, which are then milled into granules of exactly the agreed density, before being lubricated and compressed into the desired final form.
8.Oscillating Granulator
Granulators with screen, you can efficiently get a target particle size. Without water adding in the process, drying process is not required. Therefore, granulation process is easier.
9.Discharge
Option to equip a vibration sifter, it filtrates small or undersize granules for re-granulation purpose. The good flow ability of outcome granules can be easily filled into capsules.
10.PLC Control
PLC control system with touch screen, which is easy to operate. It has both Chinese and English versions.
11. Hydraulic System
Since the operative pressure of the hydraulic cylinder can be easily adjusted, you are able to reduce the compression force for soft granulation.
12.Final Granule
The granule diameter is depended on screen sieve size, which can be exchanged.
