Product Description
Gel coat is unsaturated polyester (UP) by adding pigments and thixotropic agents and other dispersed glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) and table top paint used to develop coloring thixotropic products.
Instructions:
1. Select the appropriate type of gel coat before use.
2. Completely and thoroughly prepared the mold, the mold surface determines the surface of the product.
3. Before the use of full mixing gel coat, but the speed to be slow to avoid mixing bubbles.
4. Before the start of work, gelcoat and mold temperature maintained at 16 ℃ -30 ℃, the ideal mold temperature should be higher than the gelcoat temperature 2 ℃ - 3 ℃. In this way, after curing can get a more glossy gelcoat surface.
5. Relative humidity within the workshop to less than 80%, the humidity will lead to the required curing temperature. Also, prevent water from accumulating on the mold surface.
6. Mold surface to be waxed full, do not use silicone-containing stripping wax. With water-soluble stripping wax must wait for its moisture after evaporation and then coated with gel coat.
7. Do not add solvent dilution, such as acetone. If you need to use a lower viscosity, you can add a small amount of styrene (<2%).
8. Curing agent (MEKP) dosage is generally 1 to 2%. If the amount of curing agent is too high or too low, will make the product of water resistance and weather resistance decreased.
9. Such as color paste, to ensure that the color uniformity and stability. According to the recommended amount, accurate weighing, the use of low-shear equipment mixing. You can also use colored gel coat.
