Reverse osmosis, is a way to purify water. The principle is to use osmosis to put clean water and salt water in a tube, separated by a semi-permeable membrane that allows water to pass through, and it can be seen that water flows from a place with low osmotic pressure to a place with high osmotic pressure. However, if a force is applied to the hypertonic solution, it can be seen that water flows from the place with high osmotic pressure to the place with low osmotic pressure. Reverse osmosis is the reverse of "forward osmosis" and generally consumes more energy than the natural process of forward osmosis.

How does it works?
Reverse osmosis systems purify water by forcing pressurized water through a very fine, plastic membrane. If the raw water being treated comes from a well or another private source, disinfection and pre-filters (to remove chlorine and/or particulates/sediment) may be needed in advance of the R/O unit to remove contaminants that can foul or damage the membrane.
It can be seen from the working principle diagram that our raw water first enters the "raw water tank". Under the pressure of the raw water pump, the water flows into the three pretreatments of quartz sand, activated carbon, and softening, and finally the water is transported into the reverse osmosis membrane by the high-pressure pump. After being filtered by the reverse osmosis membrane, the pure water will be stored in the pure water tank for use, which is a complete filtration process of the reverse osmosis equipment.
